What is Azure Monitor and how does it work

Azure Monitor is a system that notices a problem before the customer does and keeps history so the cause can be understood afterwards. Technically it collects availability, response time, CPU, memory, disk and network metrics together with application logs and synthetic checks of business journeys such as signing in or placing an order. The critical part is the alert rules: they must fire on real deviations and reach someone who can actually act, otherwise the team quickly learns to ignore notifications. Metric history matters as much as the alerts, because it shows when degradation started, whether it repeats weekly and whether the last change helped. Without it every incident is investigated blind. ITFB delivers monitoring for your stack: tool selection, metric collection, dashboards for the team, an on-call calendar, alert thresholds, and a regular review of the rules so they stay few and stay meaningful.

About the Service

Azure Monitor gives early warning about outages, speed degradation, resource shortages and application issues before customers notice them at scale.

ITFB configures monitoring for servers, websites, applications, cloud services and key business metrics for teams in Ukraine.

When to Request It

  • the team learns about website or server issues from customers;
  • there is no metric history, making failures hard to explain;
  • alerts, duty process, dashboards and SLA control are needed;
  • application, API, database or cloud service performance must be visible.

What Is Included

  • definition of critical availability, resource, speed, error and business event metrics;
  • setup of checks, agents, dashboards, alerts, escalation rules and communication channels;
  • integration with cloud, web servers, databases, applications and ticket systems;
  • regular incident analysis, threshold tuning and root-cause recommendations.

What You Get

  • the team sees issues earlier and reacts before broad customer impact;
  • incidents are analyzed using data instead of assumptions;
  • management gets a transparent view of availability, SLA and technical risks.

How We Work

  1. we define critical services and indicators to control;
  2. we connect checks, metrics, dashboards and alerts;
  3. we test alert scenarios and response owners;
  4. we analyze incidents and improve monitoring rules over time.
